[00] A Scoutlite Program

Field Partners

Light for the work that does not pause.

[01] How it works

Field Partners is Scoutlite's long-term gear partnership program. We outfit organizations doing demanding, high-stakes work in places where reliable light is not a convenience but a requirement.

The premise is straightforward. We send our gear into the field, free of charge, to teams whose work we admire. In return, they show us how our lights perform under real pressure, and we share their story with our community.

The first chapter belongs to a small team of veterinarians who travel to where animal care is hardest to reach.

EDITION 01

The team

Vetscursions is the work of Max Parkanzky DVM, a veterinarian who built a career around the cases other clinics could not take.

His team runs mobile spay and neuter clinics across Utah, then ships their kit to Panama and other Central American countries where animal welfare resources are scarce.

The work

Every surgery they perform is hands-free, time-sensitive, and visually demanding.

A loose suture in dim light is a complication. A dead battery mid-procedure is a crisis. The work asks a lot of the gear that goes with them.

The kit

We sent them a kit built for exactly these conditions:

  • Eight headlamps, a mix of Megle and Lumeo, so the team could compare beam patterns across roles.
  • Eight spare battery packs for hot-swap continuity during long procedures.
  • Ten SparkO wearable magnetic lights for support staff and tight-quarters work.
  • Chargers, cables, and accessories to keep the kit running on the road.
These delivered on those asks wonderfully. We are thrilled to continue using them.

[03] What is next

Panama is next, then more partners after that

The Vetscursions team takes the kit to Panama in June for a week of international clinics. From there, they return to a steady rhythm of local Utah deployments through the fall.

Field Partners is built to scale beyond a single chapter. We are in early conversations with first responder teams, wildland firefighters, and search and rescue volunteers. Each future edition will live on this page.
